Bulacan is becoming a powerhouse in economic growth these past few years. A new airport, a skyway and Metro Rail Transit line from Manila paves a faster and more convenient travel time for commuters and business owners alike. Aside from these, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) grants Bulacan another project that will surely bring in more investors, locally and internationally, to the province. This project is a 12-hectare cyberpark that will accommodate and encourage local entrepreneurs to build their business and invest in Bulacan more. With the region’s continuous economic growth and a high number of board passers and graduates, the province of Bulacan proves that it can compete with Manila in those terms. According to *DOLE JobFit Regional 2022 Reports, although done back in 2015, the province with the highest number of graduates was Bulacan with 15,045 college graduates with a significant gap of 5,000 graduates from the province of Nueva Ecija. From those numbers, there are approximately 49,000 graduates from the region that are added to the labor force in the year 2015-2016. Stating from the same report, topping the list were graduates of Business and other related courses, following are Education and teacher training, Information technology and engineering technology respectively.
These numbers continue to rise and the demand for sustainable jobs is well underway. DOLE and the local government of Bulacan, is building a 12 hectares Cyberpark that will enable the province to more aggressive progress. The partnership with Robinsons Land Corporation ( RLC) president and CEO Frederick Go citing that :
“The BPO buildings will attract American, international business process outsourcing companies such as call centers, transcription companies, and third-party BPOs that will provide thousands of jobs to the people of Bulacan. If I say, these are not ordinary jobs because the jobs the BPO industry provides are high paying jobs. These are the kind of jobs that help our people create more skills,” Go said. “
